Christmas, children, is not a date. It is a state of mind.

Christmas, children, is not a date. It is a state of mind.

The title quote is from Mary Ellen Chase (author and educator). It's an apt lead-in here, as I want to wish you fantastic Christmas and New Year. Eat good food, catch up with friends and family and enjoy life. Now's not the time to worry about dieting, macronutrient ratios and timing, or metabolic conditioning etc! De-stress and take time for yourself.

As the quote highlights, the way you think influences your behaviour. There's so much pressure in the rest of the year to be 'on call', to be connected and to be achieving things. It's easy to forget that before mobile phones and 'working from home' after 5.30 was leisure time. Take the opportunity presented by many people in the planet slowing down for a few days and relax. Be Present, listen and connect to people honestly.

In short, take it easy and I hope you all get some good presents (or bought some - I hear that Petrol stations have a fantastic selection on Christmas Eve...)!

When your New Years resolutions need to be addressed I'll be on it and ready to speak to any of you who want advice or guidance.

Merry Christmas!
