Write a postcard to the future you

Do you remember what goals you set yourself for 2017? Have you achieved them? Can you remember what they were?

How do you keep yourself accountable after you make those new years resolutions? How do you know if you achieved them or whether they were realistic?

Here's a fun exercise.

Have a think about where you want to be a year from now? Where could you be? What do you need to do to get there?

Don't worry if it doesn't seem realistic right now. I have many clients who miss running and due to injury have just decided they can no longer do it. Does this have to be the case? What if through commitment and focus they could build a stronger more capable body. Running might become an option. Why not think like that?

Where do you want to be? What do you want to be doing? How do you want to feel?

Try this as an exercise:

Visit FutureMe.org, and write a letter to the future. Select when it will be delivered and fill in the blank space by answering the questions above.

Now you have no excuses for inaction. It's like a future you telling you what is happening.

Remember to write about what you want.

NOT what you don't want.
