There's no such thing as 'balance'.

There's no such thing as 'balance'.

There's no such thing as 'balance'.

Being good at something requires some kind of sacrifice.

That said, the sacrifice has to be in line with the value of the thing pursued.

Does it serve a purpose?

Rarely can you argue that being unhealthy is an advantage...

Should you sacrifice your health for a client you work for?

Should you sacrifice your health to get extra 'points' from your boss or colleagues?

Should you sacrifice your health for your partner because they have a lifestyle that is in conflict with your goals?

Health is a prerequisite to success.

Health is not about creating balance... it's about optimization, excellence, human potential and creating a positive environment to nurture success.

Success in all areas... not just work.

Many years ago I spent 2 years recovering from the excess and negligence of my body for a job I had in my 20s... this did not make me a more successful person.

It was, in fact, a counterpoint.

I was not more productive.
I was not as dynamic as I could have been
I was not as confident as I could have been

Had I taken care of myself I would not have spent all that time in pain and could have focused on the things I wanted to do.

How much of your time and your life is spent dealing with the consequences of neglect of your health?

Body confidence
Illness
Back pain
stress

All preventable and unnecessary.

Rather than spending time thinking about the next 'productivity tool'

Sit down with your diary schedule in your training, show up to it and do the same with your food (buy the food, plan and prep... then make time to eat it!!)
